The Becoming

A woman's body changes material, from skin to chrome to liquid mercury, until it comes apart as points of light.

This is the most sculptural of the four worlds and the closest to my photography. Most frames are lit like beauty shots, with one hard light on a black or flat blue background. The chapters follow the body from one material to the next.

Skin

The human starting point.

Mercury

Liquid metal on the hands and face, then the whole body.
